Lindsay Anne Kendal

What was the hardest part of writing your book?

Trying to write some of the fight scenes I think, sometimes I just couldn’t put into words what I wanted to say. Also, when there is a house full of people I find it very hard to concentrate, I like my peace and quiet when I write.

Is there anything special you do to get in the mood to write?

Normally, I sit in a dark room with my music playing through my Ipod. Music is a big inspiration to me, without it, I don’t think my fingers would type. I make sure I have a bottle of Pepsi max close by, and cup of tea and some chocolates. If I have all that I’m a happy girl.

Are any of your characters based on real people or events?

Yes they are. Keira certainly has my personality, and Lily is very similar to my sister. None of the guys are really based on anyone, I think they are my secret fantasy guys really.

Do you work on one project at a time? Or do you multi-task?

I multi-task. I’m currently writing three novels. The third book of my trilogy, ‘Revelations’, the first in a two part series, ‘Leticia’, and a Paranormal stand alone, “Emmelia”.

If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything on your road to publication?

Yes, I would research the publisher before I signed the contract. The first publisher I was with... well, I can’t say much other than I’m glad I’m no longer with them. It was a very bad and costly experience. I wish I’d found the publisher I’m with now originally. They are amazing.

What sound drives you crazy?

When you’re putting your dishes away and the pots bang together. Oh my god, my eyes want to roll back in my head and I get goosebumps... its awful.

If you came with a warning label, what would it say?

WARNING! Crazy, gothy girl on the loose, if you wish to keep your sanity.... RUN!

If you were a tool, what would people use you for?

I’d be a hammer and I’d be used to knock some sense into certain people in my life.

Who’s more fun, bad boys or perfect gentlemen and why?

Definitely the perfect gentlemen. Simply because I don’t believe they exist. I think it’s all a front and I like to find out what lies beneath. There’s a bad side to everyone, and I would have more fun trying to find that side of him, than I would with a natural bad boy. It adds some mystery to the relationship.

Please share with us your future projects and upcoming releases.

The second in the Bloodlines trilogy, ‘Torment’, is due for release on Nov 1st. The third, ‘Revelations’, should hopefully be out on January 1st 2012.

I’m also releasing the first of a two part YA/Paranormal Romance/Suspense ‘Leticia’. I don’t have a release date for that yet but it should be in the next couple of months.

I’m working on two other novels at the moment as well. But they’re top secret! J
